SWINGEASY Fareham runs every Tuesday evening. Everybody is welcome, whether on your own, with a partner, or with friends.
Swingeasy is a regular weekly evening with two classes, and plenty of freestyle dancing to your favourite tunes. It is the perfect opportunity for you to keep in the swing of things in a fun and friendly environment. WHAT HAPPENS? At the start of each evening, there is a beginner SwingJive class, which you can join in whatever your level. Our team then plays your favourite tunes for freestyle practice, before a more challenging class begins at 9pm. After that, you can dance the night away until the last rack finishes at 10.15pm! Our friendly coaches will be on hand too, in case you need help with any moves, or just fancy a dance! WHO CAN COME? All are welcome. No dance experience is required for SwingEasy although some regulars have been dancing for years! WHAT TIME?

Fun and Friendly Night For All At The Swinging Spring Ball 2023
Swinging Balls are open to all, so you're sure to have a great night whether you come on your own, with a partner, or with friends. Our celebrated Swinging Balls have been running for 20 years. They have built a splendid reputation, attracting the UK's finest jive and swing bands along with huge attendances.
Change of Band for Swinging Spring Ball 2023 (updated 31st Jan 2023)
Sadly, Miss Annie and The Midnight Shift will be unable to perform for us at this event due to illness. Miss Annie and her band were the advertised feature band until 31st January. We're delighted to announce that another Bournemouth-based band, The Boogie Bumpers have agreed to stand in.

The Boogie Bumpers are an exciting 7-piece swing and jive band that loves to bring the jump-blues sounds of Louis Prima and Louis Jordan to its audiences, as well as the smoother swinging Sinatra-style sounds. They might also throw in some post-modern swing in the style of Postmodern Jukebox!
Several of the band played with The Regular Joes, who were one of The Swing Dance Company's most popular bands before their breakup.
Other big-name performers such as The Jive Aces, Mike Sanchez, Si Cranstoun, King Pleasure and The Biscuit Boys, The Regular Joes and The Swing Commanders have graced our stage over the years. We're delighted to welcome The Boogie Bumpers to The Swing Dance Company for the first time this year.
Just 15 minutes north of our previous venue and similar in size and layout, Barton Hall is a dedicated function suite at Horndean Technology College, Horndean, just 5 minutes from the A3. There is ample parking on-site, a welcoming reception area, a huge dance floor and a licenced bar.
More Than Just a Live Band Event
Our Swinging Balls are more than just live band events, with memorable decorations, themed treats, and fun surprises.
A spacious dance floor, ample seating, and tables will be awaiting you in the main hall. Attendees are encouraged to use the fully licensed bar. The evening is perfect whether you prefer to dance non-stop or just kick back, socialise and enjoy the live music. The venue is easy to get to, attracting dancers from all over the South!
Warm-Up Lesson & Swinging DJ

Class & Dance Evening – Bring a Dance Partner
Join us for this one-off evening featuring fun classes and dancing.
This session will feature two 30 minute classes at Beginner and Intermediate levels with participation optional, along with dancing to swinging tunes.
Spaces need to be pre-booked with a set partner, you’ll need to remain with your partner during the lessons.
This evening is the perfect opportunity for those who have been participating in courses to round off the term. Also welcome is anyone who has danced before wanting a good fun evening out.
WHAT HAPPENS?
At the start of the evening, there is a beginner level SwingJive class, which you can join whatever your level.
Our team will play your favourite tunes for freestyle practise before a more challenging class begins later.
After that, you can dance the night away until the last track finishes at 9.30pm. Our friendly team will be on hand too, in case you need help with any moves, or just fancy a dance!
WHO CAN COME?
This evening is aimed at those who have been on recent courses or who wish to resume social dancing.
WHAT TIME?
- Doors open 7.15pm
- Beginners class 7.15-7.45pm
- Intermediates class 8.15-8.45pm
- Finish 9.30pm
- Freestyle Dancing to a playlist between and after classes.
