Join us for a special evening as Brooke & Debbie take over Fareham Social Club to teach a fun, “Swingin’ Routine.” You may know them from our online courses or as the driving force behind the company, but it is a rare treat to have them teaching together in person! This is your chance to learn directly from the bosses in a relaxed, high-energy workshop. What to Expect:

It’s time to learn The Shim Sham-the classic jazz era stroll that every swing dancer should know! The Shim Sham started life as a stage routine for tap dancers in the 1920s before being adopted by Lindy Hoppers in the ballrooms of Harlem. Legendary dancer Frankie Manning helped make it famous, and today it is danced at swing events all over the world. Whether you are completely new to this routine or want to refine your style, this workshop is the perfect opportunity to master the steps. Tonight’s Format: We are dedicating the evening to this iconic routine with a structured workshop format:

Tonight we are breaking the standard “one leader, one follower” rule. “Double Trouble” is a fun, quirky, and unusual style of swing where one leader dances with two followers simultaneously. It’s a fantastic coordination challenge and guaranteed to put a smile on your face. What to Expect:
- 2 x 30-Minute Lessons: We will break down the mechanics of dancing as a trio. You’ll learn how to lead two people at once (without tying yourself in knots!) and how followers can synchronize their moves.
- Social Dancing: Between the lessons and afterwards, you’ll have plenty of time for regular freestyle dancing, plus chances to practice your new “Double Trouble” moves if you’re feeling brave!

Join us at Fareham Social Club for a special evening dedicated to learning Simple Strolls-those catchy solo line dances that get the whole room moving together. Whether you want to improve your rhythm, give your partner work a rest, or just enjoy dancing in a group, tonight is for you. You don’t need a partner, and you don’t need to be an expert! Tonight’s Format: We have structured the evening into bite-sized chunks so you can learn at a relaxed pace:

Whether you want to improve your rhythm, give your partner work a rest, or just enjoy dancing in a group, tonight is for you. You don’t need a partner, and you don’t need to be an expert!
Tonight's Format: We have structured the evening into bite-sized chunks so you can learn at a relaxed pace:

7:30pm: Doors Open

7:45pm – 9:45pm: We will teach 4 different simple strolls at 30-minute intervals. Each one is short, sweet, and easy to pick up!

Practice Time: Between each lesson, we’ll play plenty of freestyle tracks so you can practice your new strolls or just jive the night away.
Come along and add some classic solo moves to your repertoire in a friendly, supportive atmosphere.

The new SwingJive term is just around the corner! If you’re rejoining a course, this Back to School Warm-Up is the perfect way to get your “dance legs” back before the term officially kicks off.

- Social Dancing: Plenty of freestyle practice time in between and after classes to enjoy the music and catch up with friends.
