Join us for a Sunday afternoon tea dance at the wonderful Herrison Hall, also known as Charlton Down Village Hall near Dorchester! Complimentary tea and cakes await you at the dance. Please bring your own teacup or mug to reduce waste.
The venue hosts regular dance classes and events, offering a wonderful retro ambience with a wonderful smooth, sprung dancefloor.

SWINGEASY Fareham runs every Tuesday evening.
Everybody is welcome, whether on your own, with a partner, or with friends. No dance experience is required for SwingEasy although some regulars have been dancing for years!
Swingeasy is a regular, social weekly evening with two classes and plenty of freestyle dancing to your favourite tunes. It is the perfect opportunity for you to keep in the swing of things in a fun and friendly environment.
WHAT HAPPENS?
At the start of each evening, there is a beginner SwingJive class, which you can join whatever your level.
Our team then plays your favourite tunes for freestyle practice, before a more challenging class begins at 9pm. After that, you can dance the night away until the last track finishes at 10.15pm. Our friendly coaches will be on hand too, in case you need help with any moves, or just fancy a dance!

Entry is £10pp per evening payable via this website.

10 WEEK BEGINNERS COURSE RUNS 21st Jan – 25th March, 2025
From 21st Jan, the Beginners lesson at Swingeasy will turn into an hour long session that follows the format of our 10-week Absolute Beginners course. This course will include partner rotation throughout.
To participate you can EITHER join the 10 week course OR book a weekly Swingeasy ticket. Everybody with a Swingeasy ticket can take part.

We are absolutely delighted to welcome the incredible Fifinellas Swing Band! For this special night, they're bringing their full, spectacular full swinging band, featuring three amazing vocalists, tenor sax, piano, guitar, bass, and drums.
If the name is new to you, you’ll definitely know the musicians! The band is made up of talented performers from The Midnight Shift, and The Regular Joes. Vocalists Louise and George have also sung with the wonderful Miss Annie for over 25 years. This is a lineup packed with faces and voices you’ll know and love!

The band members have a wonderful range of experience from West End shows, performances at Buckingham Palace, Twinwood Festival and Montreux Jazz Festival. The Boogie Bumpers played in a two band spectaular with The Jive Aces and performed for events and festivals such as Port Solent’s Retro Rewind and The Nostalgia Show.
