When Can You Access Your Online Course?
The accompanying online course, which is offered free with every Beginner, Intermediate and Inters Plus level SwingJive course booked at your local venue, will be available to access before the 2nd lesson of the term at your local venue.
Every email address provided with a registration on the course at the local venue will receive an email containing a link with a unique voucher code a few days after the first lesson of the term. The link will allow the recipient to enrol in the relevant course free of charge at our online school. The full online course is available on demand as soon as you have enrolled in it at our online school.

Swinging Balls are open to all, so you're sure to have a great night whether you come on your own, with a partner, or with friends. Our celebrated Swinging Balls have been running for 20 years. They have built a splendid reputation, attracting the UK's finest jive and swing bands along with huge attendances.

The Boogie Bumpers Return
The Boogie Bumpers are returning to play for The Swing Dance Company dancers after making their debut at the 2023 Swinging Spring Ball. They played such a great show at our sold out event that we had no hesitation in asking them back.
With band members that played in The Regular Joes, arguably the most popular band to ever play for The Swing Dance Company, the Boogie Bumpers know exactly what to do to keep our dancers happy.
The band members have a wonderful range of experience from West End shows, performances at Buckingham Palace, Twinwood Festival and Montreux Jazz Festival. The Boogie Bumpers played in a two band spectaular with The Jive Aces and performed for events and festivals such as Port Solent's Retro Rewind and The Nostalgia Show.
Other big-name performers such as Si Cranstoun, Mike Sanchez, The Jive Aces, King Pleasure and The Biscuit Boys and The Swing Commanders have graced our stage. We're delighted that The Boogie Bumpers were keen to return to The Swing Dance Company this year.
Just 15 minutes north of our previous venue and similar in size and layout, Barton Hall is a dedicated function suite at Horndean Technology College, Horndean, just 5 minutes from the A3. There is ample parking on-site, a welcoming reception area, a huge dance floor and a licenced bar.
More Than Just a Live Band Event
Our Swinging Balls are more than just live band events, with memorable decorations, themed treats, and fun surprises.
A spacious dance floor, ample seating, and tables will be awaiting you in the main hall. Attendees are encouraged to use the fully licensed bar. The evening is perfect whether you prefer to dance non-stop or just kick back, socialise and enjoy the live music. The venue is easy to get to, attracting dancers from all over the South!
Warm-Up Lesson & Swinging DJ
Our teachers will be giving a warm-up lesson to start the evening off, suitable for all levels. The Swinging DJ team will play a great mix of swing, rock’n’roll and rhythm and blues tracks to keep the dance floor busy at all other times.
