When To Join Inters Plus SwingJive Courses
The Inters Plus level is ideal if you have been dancing with us for 3 or more terms. This should mean you have completed Absolute Beginners, Yellow Intermediate and Green Intermediate Courses.
We run THREE 10 week Inters Plus SwingJive courses, “Orange”, “Purple” and “Blue”. These can be taken in any order and they are designed to follow on from our Intermediate SwingJive courses, where you will have learned basic Charleston and 6 beat rhythms which are essential foundation steps for the Inters Plus level.
We rotate Inters Plus SwingJive courses from one term to the next, so the Purple course starts in January, the Blue course starts after Easter and the Orange Intermediate Plus course starts in the Autumn.
£10pp Early Bird Discount
Pay for the course 3 weeks before Lesson 1 to get an extra £10 per person off the course fee, compared to the standard rate.
Extra Lessons Free!
All paying participants can benefit from free access to the full course online, free catch-up lessons at alternative venues, and a 12-month free repeat guarantee, meaning you have a massage range of opportunities to learn the content of this course.
First-Come, First Serve
Spaces are limited and available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Your course fee needs to be paid from this page at the time of booking and prior to attendance.
What To Expect From Inters Plus Courses
Each Inters Plus SwingJive Course builds on what you have learned at the lower levels.
This level gives you new techniques. You will learn tips for responsible social dancing. We add popular strolls so you can start dancing without a partner! Variations on the basic Charleston are lots of fun and there are new moves including the occasional flashy dip or lean.
We’re always referring back to moves you have already learned so you’ll never forget them. Every time we show you a new move we will draw on moves that you already know to create new sequences. This course shows you how to extend those old moves. It challenges you to think about linking moves in ways you haven’t done before.
We still maintain the popular format and structure of the Absolute Beginners and Intermediate SwingJive Courses so if you enjoyed those courses, the Intermediate Plus level courses will be a joy to take too.

Parking & Access
During the evenings, access is restricted to entrances on the Leisure Centre side of the site. Please drive to the Dorchester Leisure Centre entrance, DT1 2HR, and park in the parking areas around the leisure centre.
Finding The Studio
From the car park, walk past the entrance to the Upper Sports Hall and continue down the steps. Turn right and then enter the building on your left-hand side. Once inside, the studio is through a doorway to the left.
Finding The Upper Sports Hall
For classes in the Upper Sports Hall, it is best to park in the top car park to the left as you enter the Leisure Centre entrance from the main road. Follow the car park to the end, where you will find large main gates into the school grounds. Go through the double gates and bear right. The Upper Sports Hall is on your right-hand side (running parallel with the top car park).
Finding The Lower Sports Hall
Once parked, please walk onto the school site via the large double gates to the school slightly down the driveway and on the opposite side to the Leisure Centre. From the entrance gates, follow a U-shaped walk along the main driveway into the school to a central pedestrian square. After reaching the square turn right, go to the end of the square and then turn right again. From the square, you can then follow a pathway straight ahead to the Lower Sports Hall building. Enter the building and the Sports Hall is on the right-hand side.
