We are delighted to bring to Chichester a special end of term social night with swing singer Miss Amy Baker on 6th April 2020. We will be welcoming Miss Amy Baker back to Chichester, and celebrating the end of this terms courses. Booking in advance gives you our best rate for this one off event. The first 30 tickets are just £8!
Miss Amy Baker is a talented, professional Jazz and Swing singer who is going places fast! Recognised by the Jive Aces, she has toured with them throughout Europe and sung with them at their album launch at Ronnie Scott’s.
In recent years she has appeared at some amazing events and locations including Glastonbury Festival, The Edinburgh Fringe, The Tower of London, Montreux Jazz Festival, Goodwood Revival, The Miami Boat Show, Cannes Yachting Festival and Southsea Bandstand!
Amy will be performing a playlist packed with swinging tunes for dancers (using backing tracks) between and after the Swingeasy lessons, so the format for the evening will be as follows;
7.15pm – Doors open
7.30-8.00pm Fun starter class
8.00-8.15pm Swinging DJ
8.15-8.45 pm Miss Amy Baker
8.45-9.15pm Swinging DJ
9.15 – 9.45 pm Miss Amy Baker
10pm Event closes
The Swing Dance Company DJ will be playing music for dancing whenever Miss Amy Baker is not performing

WHERE? The Fishbourne Centre is a lovely venue combining a large dance floor with an intimate atmosphere. It is a social layout that has proven popular over many years. The centre has a fully licenced bar that adds to the atmosphere.
There is a large car park at the centre.

Travel to the Venue
The Venue is The Fishbourne Centre on Blackboy Lane in Fishbourne PO18 8BE
Firstly, please make sure you come to the right place – the venue is signposted but Blackboy Lane is a small country lane and easily missed! Unless you know the back roads well it’s best to head along the A259 which is the A-road to Emsworth road from Chichester Tesco’s roundabout (avoiding the A27).
From the Chichester end of the A259, the turning for Blackboy Lane is on the right hand side as you leave the village, the venue is named on the signpost. The entrance to the venue is on the right hand side after a quarter of a mile just before the level crossing, there is a large car park.
Parking
Main car park is directly outside the Main Building. There is also overflow parking by the entrance off Blackboy Lane.
Finding The Hall
We use the Main Hall, directly in front of you once entering the building.

There is ample parking and a licenced bar, which we are encouraged to use.
