Expired Land Girls Sing Live at Swingeasy Weymouth Mon 6th Jan

SWINGEASY WEYMOUTH starts again in the New Year with a wonderful feature event! Special guests The Land Girls will join us, singing an especially crafted playlist perfect for dancing the night away!

All levels of experience and ability are invited – no problem if you’ve danced other styles or never danced before! All are welcome whether on your own, with a partner or with friends. Swingeasy is a fun social evening with dance classes and dancing. On this Swingeasy format we will rotate partners during the lesson. Book early for a £1 discount or pay the standard £8 entry rate at the door. Swingeasy is a weekly drop-in evening with two 30minute classes, plenty of freestyle and a DJ to play your favourite swinging tunes and for this special evening The Land Girls will be performing 2 x 30 minute sets too. It is the perfect opportunity for you to keep in the swing of things in a fun and friendly environment. We welcome everybody to drop-in, whether you are new to dancing, have participated in our courses or have danced with other groups, we would love to see you. We plan to run Swingeasy Weymouth every Monday starting with this special event on the 6th January 2020 then run as usual every Monday indefinitely except 9th March 2020, when the venue has a prior booking.

Dancers are welcome to drop-in any Monday and pay on arrival, there is no requirement to pre-book for Swingeasy. However there are discounted pay in advance for those who prefer and occasional special offers.

WHAT HAPPENS? At the start of each evening there is a beginners SwingJive class, which you can join in whatever your level. Our DJ then plays your favourite tunes for freestyle practice and The Land Girls perform, before a more challenging class begins at 9pm. After that you can dance the night away and The Land Girls will return for a second performance until the last track finishes at 10.30pm! Our friendly coaches will be on hand too, in case you need help with any moves, or just fancy a dance!

WHO CAN COME? All are welcome. No dance experience required for SwingEasy although some regulars have built up many years of experience!

-Freestyle Dancing to a Swing DJ between and after classes.

WHERE? Weymouth Pavilion is Weymouth’s premier entertainment venue with a very large dance floor and a lovely social layout. The centre has a fully licenced bar, so you can sit back and enjoy a drink whenever you want a rest from dancing.

HOW MUCH? Entry is £8 payable on the door. Alternatively you can buy now for just £7 and thereafter pre-book for Swingeasy books of tickets as usual for 3 months (non-transferable), or buy a book of 10 transferable tickets. The book of tickets can be used at your discretion, so you can attend the weeks that suit you, by yourself or a partner, or come for a group outing with friends!

For our best discounted rates, book 3 or 12 month blocks in advance. Booking in advance is a great motivator to attend every week and provides excellent value for those who do, but be warned that there are no refunds or cancellations if you can’t make it. You’ll join the attendee register and be ticked in on arrival each week.

PRE-BOOK 3 MONTHS – This eticket is for entry to EVERY Monday evening Swingeasy session at Weymouth Pavilion up to 16th Dec 2019 (not restricted to the date on the e-ticket). This offers the best rate if you can attend regularly but you cannot give your place to anybody else, and there are no refunds for 1 off event cancellations due to force majeur. However a pro-rata rebate will be available in the case of the regular classes not continuing.

FLEXIBLE BOOKS OF 10 TICKETS – When purchasing our books of 10 ticket vouchers, a physical book of vouchers will be available for collection on your next visit to Swingeasy. These vouchers can be used as and when required up to the expiry date. We’re happy to accept payments via our online system, but the e-tickets (and any limitations on dates specified) can be disregarded.
